Sinema’s bipartisan Advanced Air Mobility Coordination and Leadership law expands America’s leadership in technological development

WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema urged the U.S. Transportation Secretary to quickly implement her bipartisan Advanced Air Mobility Coordination and Leadership law supporting the development of Advanced Air Mobility systems – creating jobs and expanding America’s leadership in technological development.
 
“Arizona leads in aerospace innovation – and we must keep our momentum with swift implementation of our bipartisan law to fuel more Arizona jobs that strengthen America’s national security and technological development,” said Sinema.
 
Sinema’s bipartisan letter, joined by Republican Senator Jerry Moran (Kan.), urges quick implementation of Sinema’s bipartisan Advanced Air Mobility Coordination and Leadership law. Sinema highlights in her bipartisan letter how American aviation is entering a new era of innovation and growth, and swift implementation of Sinema’s law would advance America’s leadership – boosting Arizona jobs and economic opportunities.

Sinema’s Advanced Air Mobility Coordination and Leadership Act establishes an intergovernmental agency working group that would bring together expertise from across the federal government to inform Congress on recommendations for advancing the physical and digital security, safety, infrastructure, and maturation of the Advanced Air Mobility Systems industry.
 
Advanced Air Mobility systems is an emerging sector of aviation technology that will provide new capabilities and environmentally-friendly alternatives to traditional transportation modes. Arizona aerospace manufacturers worked with Sinema on her legislation. Sinema’s Advanced Air Mobility Coordination and Leadership Act further enhances Arizona’s leadership as a testing ground for emerging vehicle technology.
