Sinema answered questions on inflation, infrastructure, and defense
PHOENIX – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema held a townhall with Arizonans at Honeywell to answer questions from Arizonans on concerns surrounding our national defense, inflation, infrastructure, and innovation.
“Hearing from Arizonans guides my work in the Senate, and our town hall presented an opportunity to learn new ideas from Arizonans that I will take back with me to Washington,” said Sinema.
Sinema toured Honeywell’s Deer Valley facility and held an employee town hall. Sinema shared with the town hall participants the key Arizona defense priorities she secured in the Fiscal Year 2022 government funding bill. As part of this bill, Sinema helped advance critical resources supporting Ukraine, including emergency food assistance, health care, and other urgent support.
Sinema opened the discussion for a Q&A, where Arizonans asked questions ranging from supply chain issues and inflation, job creation, and our national defense.
The Senator also discussed the historic investments her bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs law makes in aviation to strengthen Arizona’s economy and national defense.
In February, during her tour of Southern Arizona, Sinema held a roundtable with aerospace and defense leaders at the University of Arizona to discuss Arizona’s multiple defense priorities and her work to support job-creation and innovation in these key industries.
