WASHINGTON – Arizona Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly held a discussion with White House Infrastructure Coordinator Mitch Landrieu and Arizona mayors and county supervisors to discuss local implementation of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs law that Sinema co-authored and negotiated, and Kelly helped shape.
“Our infrastructure law makes historic investments in cities and towns across Arizona. We’re directly connecting Arizona mayors, county supervisors, and Tribal leaders with the administration to ensure Arizona communities get their fair share of funding as we put our bipartisan infrastructure law to work,” said Sinema, co-author and lead negotiator of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs law.
The discussion and Q&A allowed mayors and local leaders across Arizona to ask questions, share concerns, and ideas with Sinema, Kelly, and Mr. Landrieu. Sinema underscored how partnerships between local, Tribal, and federal governments can achieve real results, and open the lines of communication for effective, efficient, and timely implementation of this historic, bipartisan legislation.
Sinema has been holding regular calls with local and Tribal leaders across Arizona about the implementation of her bipartisan infrastructure law. Last February, Sinema also toured Southern Arizona highlighting her work to ensure local and tribal communities get their fair share of funds from Sinema’s infrastructure law.
