Sinema: Shipments of Coronavirus Vaccines ‘bring hope to communities across the country’

Dec 13, 2020

WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema, ranking member of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation and Space, today released the following statement:

“Today’s shipments of the first coronavirus vaccines bring hope to communities across the country—to health care workers, seniors, families, and employers hurt by the pandemic. This marks a turning point, and mass distribution of vaccines to the entire country will take several more months. Elected leaders must use that time to provide critical support and relief to everyday Americans—including the essential workers we rely on to make and transport these vaccines—and all Americans should double our efforts to slow the current spike in cases by wearing masks, social distancing, and limiting gatherings. The steps we take to control and beat the virus are the same steps toward saving lives and livelihoods, and rebuilding our economy.”
