WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema released the following statement in recognition of Indigenous Peoples’ Day:
“Today, we honor the 22 tribal communities in Arizona and celebrate Native communities’ contributions to our state and our country. I will continue working with our Native American neighbors to ensure tribal sovereignty is respected and that we continue to expand jobs and educational opportunities for all Arizonans.”
