Senator views innovative security measures helping process travelers quickly and safely
PHOENIX – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema met with U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) leaders at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in Arizona and discussed the airport’s innovative technology enhancing travelers’ flying experience while keeping Arizonans and Americans safe and secure.
“Sky Harbor’s innovative security tools provide a model for other airports by strengthening safety while cutting wait times for customers. I’ll continue supporting efforts to improve safety and the customer experience,” said Sinema.
TSA employs approximately 1,100 individuals at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Sky Harbor TSA runs six security checkpoints and screens between 40-60 thousand passengers and crew members every day. Nationwide, TSA screens over 2 million travelers a day with a workforce of approximately 60,000.
