WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema recently met with Paul Shmotolokha, the nominee to be First Vice President of the Export-Import Bank. Sinema and Mr. Shmotolokha discussed his qualifications and how he will support the mission of the bank.
“The Export-Import Bank gives Arizona businesses a level playing field to compete abroad. I’m working across the aisle to build a bipartisan coalition to secure a long-term reauthorization of the Bank,” said Sinema, a member of the Senate Banking Committee.
Sinema is leading the effort to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank so Arizona businesses and manufacturers can continue to compete and succeed abroad. The Export-Import Bank helped Arizona businesses finance $2 billion in exports over the last five years, creating good jobs in the state while closing the trade deficit with countries like China.
