WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema met with members of the Southern Arizona Defense Alliance to discuss key priorities for Arizona’s defense industry and military installations and how they can work together to boost national security and military readiness.
“America is stronger and safer thanks to Arizona’s booming defense industry. I’ll keep working hand-in-hand with partners like the Southern Arizona Defense Alliance to ensure our nation remains strong and ready,” said Sinema.
The Southern Arizona Defense Alliance (SADA) presented Sinema with its Arizona defense priorities for consideration for the annual bipartisan defense legislation.
SADA is a coalition of regional military support organizations – including the Arizona Defense & Industry Coalition (AZDIC) – that acts as a united voice and advocate for regional and national security efforts. Sinema routinely works with SADA and AZDIC, inspired by Senator McCain, to bolster supply chains and ensure Arizona is at the forefront of providing the minerals and materials needed for national defense and energy security.
Meeting participants included Robert Medler, Chair of SADA, and representatives from D-M 50, 162nd Air Guardians, Yuma 50, and Huachuca 50.
