The Sinema-backed bipartisan resolution honors the 21 Arizona law enforcement officers killed in action in 2021
Resolution follows February 2022’s deadly shooting in Phoenix that injured 9 police officers
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Senate approved a bipartisan resolution cosponsored by Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema honoring the 21 Arizona law enforcement officers killed in action during 2021.
“Arizona lost 21 brave law enforcement officers in 2021 – we’re honoring them, their families, and all of Arizona’s law enforcement community risking their lives every day to keep Arizona families safe and secure,” said Sinema.
The Sinema-backed bipartisan resolution honors the 21 Arizona law enforcement officers killed in action in 2021, as well as the other 542 fallen law enforcement across the nation. Sinema’s resolution honors their acts of heroism and underscores the need for law enforcement officers to have proper equipment, training, and resources to keep American families safe. The bipartisan resolution follows a deadly shooting in February that injured 9 Phoenix police officers.
