Sinema-backed resolution recognizes the contributions and accomplishments of women in U.S. history

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Senate approved Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema’s bipartisan resolution designating March 2022 as National Women’s History Month.

“Our resolution acknowledges the remarkable accomplishments of generations of women in Arizona and across the country, and commemorates the undeniable role American women have played in U.S. history,” said Sinema, Arizona’s first female Senator.

The bipartisan resolution also celebrates the passage of the Sinema-supported Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum Act, which establishes a national women’s history museum in the nation’s capital.

Sinema has previously cosponsored similar resolutions, including two last year honoring the contributions of Native women and Latina women.
