Brandon Judd and the National Border Patrol Council endorsed Sinema’s bipartisan border security bill
WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema announced today that Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council, will be her guest at this year’s State of the Union address.
Judd and the National Border Patrol Council endorsed the bipartisan border security bill led by Sinema, stating with certainty that the legislation “alone will drop illegal border crossings nationwide and will allow our agents to get back to detecting and apprehending those who want to cross our borders illegally and evade apprehension.”
“I invited Brandon Judd to the State of the Union to remind my colleagues that the chaos at the border continues day in and day out, and states like mine pay the price for Washington’s failure to act.“ said Sinema, Chair of the Border Management Subcommittee.
“At a time when partisan politics rules the landscape, it has been refreshing to be able to work with someone with an independent mindset willing to look out for the best interest of the American people. As it pertains to border security, Krysten Sinema has been that person. She has advocated for border security in all forms whether it be at the Ports of Entry or between. She has listened to the voices of the people doing their best to protect this great nation. I am honored to be invited to the State of the Union by Senator Sinema,” said National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd.
Sinema worked with Senators James Lankford (R-Okla.) and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) to craft a bipartisan bill that reasserts control of the border, protects border communities, disrupts the flow of fentanyl into the country, and solves the border crisis by ending catch and release, strengthening our asylum system by delivering determinations efficiently and fairly, enhancing security, and improving the legal immigration system.
The National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) is a labor union established in 1967 representing approximately 16,500 Border Patrol agents and support staff on the United States Border Patrol.
