WASHINGTON –The Senate Banking Committee approved the bipartisan Terrorism Risk Insurance renewal, cosponsored by Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema. The legislation provides financial certainty for Arizona universities, hospitals, stadiums, casinos, and other large businesses by ensuring that they have access to terrorism insurance.
“Arizona hospitals, office buildings, stadiums, casinos, hotels, and universities all need critical protections against terrorism that are made possible by our bipartisan bill,” said Sinema, a member of the Senate Banking Committee.
Sinema has long championed the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act and has advocated for a long-term reauthorization since her time in the U.S. House.
