WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema secured key defense and military priorities in the annual bipartisan government funding bill, which include a pay raise for Arizona servicemembers, increased funding to address PFAS contamination on military bases and in neighboring communities, and stronger investments for modernization of military technologies.

“We’re keeping Arizona strong and ready by securing these defense and military investments that ensure a pay raise for Arizona servicemembers, modernize our military technologies, address PFAS contamination, and more,” said Sinema.

The annual bipartisan government funding bill invests in Arizona servicemembers and their families by fully funding a 4.6% pay raise for servicemembers, increasing the Basic Allowance for Housing, boosting a program for children with severe disabilities, addressing PFAS contamination and remediation on Arizona’s military bases and in neighboring communities, heavily investing in military technology modernization like the F-35 program, and more.
