Sinema Meets with Arizona Chapter of National Association of Manufacturers

Jul 19, 2019

WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema recently met with the Arizona Chapter of the National Association of Manufacturers to discuss Arizona jobs and the impact of the trade war on manufacturers in Arizona and the United States.

“Tariffs hurt Arizona jobs. I’m working with local partners and colleagues across the aisle to support manufacturers and protect Arizonans from unnecessary trade wars,” said Sinema.

Earlier this year, Sinema led the bipartisan Trade Security Act—legislation that helps prevent unnecessary trade wars that hurt Arizona jobs.

While serving in the U.S. House, Sinema also championed bipartisan legislation that requires Congressional approval on certain proposed tariffs and allows members of Congress to review future tariff proposals and reject them if necessary.
