Senator discusses tourism needs at the Grand Canyon with Grand Canyon Airlines and Papillon Helicopters
WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema met with leaders of Grand Canyon Airlines and Papillon Helicopters—two companies that provide aerial tours of the Grand Canyon—to discuss how they can boost tourism and protect the Grand Canyon.
“Tourism grows our economy and supports jobs across Arizona. I’ll keep partnering with local employers to strengthen our tourism industry,” said Sinema, ranking member of the Senate Aviation and Space Subcommittee.
As ranking member of the Senate Aviation and Space subcommittee, Sinema is actively finding bipartisan ways to further expand Arizona’s tourism opportunities, promote greater investment in Arizona’s space industry, and has been a leader in highlighting the need to maintain U.S. leadership in aviation safety.
