WASHINGTON — Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema met this week with Dr. Barry Butler, President of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona.
“Arizona offers some of the best conditions in the country for aviation training. We’re committed to supporting the qualified students at Embry-Riddle, who’ll soon serve as pilots, mechanics, and air traffic controllers keeping our passengers and skies safe,” said Sinema.
Sinema cosponsored the bipartisan ATC Hiring Reform Act that gives FAA Air Traffic Controller hiring priority to veterans and graduates of FAA Certified Collegiate Training Initiative schools like Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona.
