Sinema discusses military fuel technology with Arizona’s Robertson Fuel Systems
WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema met with the leadership of Tempe, Arizona-based Robertson Fuel Systems. Robertson Fuel Systems manufactures innovative, crash-resistant fuel tanks for military helicopters. Robertson’s technology saves lives and its operation has created hundreds of good paying jobs in Arizona.
“Robertson Fuel Systems is an innovative Arizona company helping to grow our economy with a product that saves lives. I will continue to ensure our men and women in uniform have access to life-saving technology,” said Sinema.
Robertson Fuel Systems is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona and produces fuel systems for military aircraft and ground vehicles that self-seal after gunfire and crashes to protect American service members by preventing post-incident fires. Sinema began working with Robertson Fuel Systems in 2013, after meeting with company leadership through her Kyrsten Means Business Program.
Sinema helped secure a $47 million Army contract for Robertson Fuel Systems in 2014 that allows RFS to produce auxiliary fuel systems for domestic and foreign military sales associated with the Army Apache AH-64E helicopter. In 2018, Sinema secured funding for Robertson Fuel System’s life-saving technology in the Defense Appropriations Act.
