WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema met this week with leaders from Tucson, Arizona-based defense company Raytheon Missile Systems to discuss ways to fuel Arizona job growth and strengthen America’s national defense.

“Raytheon employs more than 11,000 talented Arizonans and is a major economic engine for our state. I’ll continue working with local employers to keep our country safe and support good jobs in Arizona,” said Sinema.

Arizona is the 14th biggest state by population, but the 4th biggest in aerospace and defense manufacturing. Arizona Raytheon currently employs over 11,000 people, making it the second-largest employer in Southern Arizona.
