WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema released the following statement on former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s passing.
“Secretary Albright, an inspiring example of the American Dream, was a tireless champion of democracy and freedom. Secretary Albright reached the highest level of American diplomacy through hard work, determination, and pure intellect, making America a safer and stronger place. America – and the world – will miss her leadership at a time when the very foundations of democracy are at stake. Secretary Albright’s family, students, and loved ones are in my thoughts.”
Dr. Madeleine Albright served as the 64th U.S. Secretary of State, becoming the first woman in U.S. history to occupy that role.
