Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, (D) Ariz., said she is dedicated to boosting the tourism industry in Arizona.
The democratic lawmaker met with business and tourism leaders in Phoenix, on Thursday.
She said tourism is vital to the state’s economy. The Arizona Office of Tourism said tourism was the top export in Arizona in 2017. Data shows more than 43 million people visited the state that year alone.
Sen. Sinema said she plans on promoting Arizona as a premier tourist destination by supporting Brand U.S.A.
Brand U.S.A. is an organization designed to market the United States as a vacation hot spot. The Arizona Office of Tourism is one of the organization’s partners.
